What is a social walk?
A social walk is more than just walking together – it is targeted, calm social training on a leash, expertly guided and supplemented by small exercises. The dogs learn to remain calm in the presence of others and to keep their distance without becoming stressed or wanting to play.
The focus is not on interaction between people, but on mindful accompaniment and observation of the dogs. This allows them to learn in a protected environment how to interpret signals correctly, find calm and deal more confidently with situations in the presence of other dogs – without any direct contact.
The Social Walk is suitable for every dog. Depending on age and condition, a half walk is also possible.
Registration
A Social Walk takes place once a month

It usually takes place on a Sunday. If that never suits you, we can arrange an alternative date provided there are enough sign-ups.

A maximum of 6 human-dog teams can take part in each walk.

The next date will be shared via a WhatsApp group and announced here on the website.

Payment can be made in cash or via Twint to 076 283 04 55.

Price: 40.- for non-members, 30.- for the Buddy Pack 🐾
Objectives & Impact

Reducing stress during encounters with other dogs: Dogs learn that other dogs nearby are not automatically a threat.

Building self-regulation: Dogs that would otherwise want to ‘get the party started’ at every encounter learn that not every situation is a time for rough-and-tumble play.

Safety for anxious dogs: Shy dogs learn that they are allowed to remain calm even when other dogs are nearby.

More nuanced communication & awareness: They practise body language, distance signals and self-relaxation in small, gradual steps.
